These changes convert the simpler example into the most bare bones simpletest, as well as convert the alternating example into a comparison that shows both types at once and prints the memory usage in the serial console.

I also merged from adafruit_master so it looks like it brought in the changes from your recent PR. If there is anything wrong inside label.py don't merge this and let me know, I can correct it on my end and make a new PR for this.
